Delta County Humane Society is always in need of volunteers, especially volunteer foster homes for dogs and cats.

 

For foster homes we provide all food and medical costs and can provide a kennel and doghouse if needed.  Foster homes only have to provide the love and care.  Foster care is one of the most rewarding jobs you will ever find.  You get paid in lots of sloppy kisses and adoring eyes and happy leaping into the air and some major purring and rubbing against you.  Check out this  VIDEO  to see some of the joys of fostering.  And then you get to make families very, very happy by helping them add a new family member or best friend to their lives.  Check out our "Waggin’ Tails" page to see some of our happy adoptions. 

         

We can also use volunteers to help with our phone messages.  All calls come into a message service and we retrieve those messages once or twice a day and then respond to the calls, we rotate that task monthly among volunteers who are willing to do the phones.

            

If you do not want to, or cannot, foster animals, we also have need for volunteers that can keep records, write stories or do clerical type work.
